Where the Wild Things Dance CCS
Flexible Ensemble
Concert/Festival
Grade 3.5
This energetic work is wildly infectious. This light and lively musical statement, inspired by the Sandhill Cranes of Monte Vista, Colorado, is sure to make all want to dance. The tubas and low woodwinds will particularly enjoy performing their opening groove as it sets the tone for the great music to come. This will be a musician's favorite and a highlight of your next concert performance. Enjoy!

The 2024 Missouri Bandmaster’s Summer Conference has been very special for me. The first time I came to Tan-Tar-A was in January of 2010 when I accepted the Claude T. Smith Memorial Composition Contest Award. This has been my first time back since then. Pam Smith Kelly is an AMAZING person! She has been so incredibly supportive! She is such a wonderful colleague and friend!
